The Story of Game Tenn in Abu Dhabi
Game Tenn was created from a very simple thought: tennis should feel relaxed and open to everyone. When our founder moved to Abu Dhabi, they kept meeting people who were curious about tennis but felt shy. Many said things like "I'm not fit enough," "I'm too old to start," or "coaches will be too tough with me." One evening, after a light-hearted game with friends and a joke about "this is your game, your tennis," the name Game Tenn appeared — and with it, the idea of a tennis school where people do not feel judged.
At the start, we had just one court and a tiny group of players. The first group was a mix of very different stories: someone who had never held a racket before, a busy parent who wanted to move more after work, and a teenager who loved tennis but had lost trust in their skills. Instead of running strict drills and shouting instructions, our founder slowed everything down, showed each movement step by step, and used simple, everyday language. People smiled, missed the ball, tried again, and realised they were allowed to learn at their own speed. That feeling of safety and support is what built the heart of Game Tenn.
Little by little, Game Tenn grew. We invited more coaches who share the same mindset: be patient, be kind, and truly support each player. Our team is not here to impress anyone or make players feel small. We are here to stand next to you on court and guide you. We break each stroke into clear parts, repeat as often as needed, and always explain why we do a certain exercise. Whether your goal is a stronger serve, a more stable backhand, better footwork, or just moving more every week, we try to build a plan that fits your daily life in Abu Dhabi.
Today, Game Tenn is a small but warm tennis family. Children discover that making mistakes is part of learning, not a reason to be afraid. Adults give themselves permission to start from zero and enjoy sport again. Friends and families turn their lessons into a weekly habit that they look forward to. For us, the biggest success is not a perfect shot, but that quiet moment when someone says, "I never thought I could play like this, but now I can."
